Rough Translation
Today is the day Sri Ramanujar was born in this world.
Today is the day the darkness of the Kali yuga was removed. Today is the day of upliftment of those who live by the Vedas and praise of the Sriman Narayana’s lotus feet and the day of the suppression of those who question the true meanings of the Vedas.

This Thiruvadirai/Ardra day in the month of Chitirai is a day of greater importance than even the days in which the Azhvars incarnated. The reason being, it is the day in which Sri Ramanuja was born to save the seven worlds.

We are all aware of Swamy Ramanuja and swamy’s contributions towards our sampradhyam. Not only Swami was a saint, but was a teacher, author, social reformer, a sada acharyan and lived the way, as it has to be. Swamy is a Yuga Purusha, whom Time and Mankind cannot forget. incarnated and achieved many things, which even Sriman Narayanan could not achieve in his Vibhava Avatharams like Rama & Krishna.

श्रीमद्द्वारवती प्रयागमथुरा अयोध्या गया पुष्करं
सालग्रामगिरिं निषेव्य रमते रामानुजोsयं मुनि: ||

Sri Rangam kari sailam anjana girim, takshadri simhachalou, sri koormam, purushotamam cha badaari naryanam, naimisay, srimath dvaravathi prayag ;mathura ahodha gaya pushkaram salagrama girim nishevya ramathe Ramanujoyam munihi

Let’s all take refuge in Padhuka of –Yathiraja who is mesmerized by the Eera Chorkal (divine outpourings) of Azhvar’s especially Thiruvaimozhi — Swamy Ramanuja had much devotion on Nammalvar and his Thiruvaimozhi, that Swamy Ramanuja is considered as the divya padhukas of Nammalvar as he is (Maaranadi Panidhu Uyindhavan மாறன் அடி பணிந்து உய்ந்தவன்) it is significant to note, that the lines of this verses from Ramanuja Nootriandadhi is to be chanted without a pause) & Swamy is foster mother of Thiruvaimozhi (வளர்த்த இதத் தாய் இராமாநுசன்)

Sri Manavala Mamunigal in his Aarthi Prabandham goes a step ahead and brings out to establish the grace of Swamy Ramanuja is more than that of the Bhagvan in the foll verses.

அதிகாரமுண்டேல் அரங்கர் இரங்காரோ அதிகாரம் இல்லாதார்க்கு அன்றோ – எதிராசா நீ இரங்க வேண்டுவது நீயும் அதிகாரிகளுக்கே இரங்கில் என் செய்வோம் யாம்.

“Adhigaaram undel arangarirangaroo
adhigaaram illadharkandro — Ethiraja!
nee erangavenduvathu neeyum adhigarigalukkey
erangil enseivom yaam”

Meaning:-

People practicing Karma,Bakthi yoga etc get qualified to get the grace of the Lord, People who have no such attributes are dependent only on your grace Oh Ramanuja! If you too behave like Lord where else we can go?
In these verses, it is stated, that the Emperumaan discriminates by giving Moksha to selected few who are qualified, for the same, But Ramanujar has no such discrimination, his grace is universal and flows out to all the needy, such is his compassion, unmindful of eligibility & even though we are unqualified & underserving,
Swami Ramanuja out of his extreme compassion redeems us, Thus stands at higher level than the Sriman Narayanan,(when it comes to compassion/grace)

Let ‘s surrender to YATHIRAJA PADHUKA and take pride in identifying ourselves as “Ramanuja Dasas”
